Position Summary
The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for overseeing billing operations and processes to ensure account balance collection. This generally entails billing for invoiced orders, supporting collection efforts, and reviewing account discrepancies.
Position Details
- Salary: $60,000 – $70,000
- Full-time
- Hybrid – Minimum of 3 days in the office
- Location: Boulder, CO
- Reports to: Revenue/Billing Manager
- NOTE: Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
Primary Responsibilities
- Process invoices for new and recurring contracts
- Process customer payments as needed, research and resolve payment discrepancies
- Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
- Provide support for internal and external audits
- Perform account reconciliations in a timely and accurate manner
- Manage collection efforts and associated functions
- Support monthly financial close processes, ensuring work is completed in accordance with the closing schedule
- Continuous evaluation of current policies and recommendations for process improvements
- Other duties and projects as may be assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of two years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, or related accounting role.
- Experience submitting invoices to vendor portals (e.g., SAP Ariba, Coupa, etc.)
- Knowledge of GAAP and basic accounting principles
- Proficiency with accounting/ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
- Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to professionally interact with customers and internal teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to analyze large sets of data
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- Experience with NetSuite, Maxio (SaaSOptics), and Salesforce is preferred
