Role Overview:

Could you be our next Accounts Payable Output Specialist? Globe Life is looking for an Accounts Payable Output Specialist to join the team!

In this role, you will be responsible for managing all check printing operations and maintaining strict check security protocols for Globe Life. This critical role oversees the complete check disbursement process across multiple business departments.

This is an on-site position located in McKinney, Texas.

What You Will Do:

  • Manage all phases of check printing operations for disbursements.
  • Process accounts payable for check printing via Workday ERP system; process Security Manager checkwriter system check printing.
  • Print, review, and quality-check all disbursement checks for accuracy.
  • Ensure timely distribution of checks to vendors and internal departments.
  • Coordinate check production schedules to meet payment deadlines.
  • Maintain complete responsibility for check security protocols and procedures.
  • Manage secure check stock inventory and storage.
  • Maintain detailed security logs of check stock and check numbers in the accounting system.
  • Monitor and control access to check printing equipment and supplies.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.
  • Implement and enforce check security best practices.
  • Reconcile check runs to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Balance accounts payable check issues on a daily basis.
  • Maintain organized records of all check disbursements.
  • Generate reports for management and audit purposes.
  • Process voiding and reissuing of checks through Security Manager checkwriter system.
  • Investigate and resolve check printing errors or discrepancies.
  • Research and respond to inquiries regarding check status.
  • Maintain documentation for voided and reissued checks.
  • Collaborate with all departments responsible for check input and production.
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders regarding check processing schedules.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to disbursements.

What You Can Bring:

  • High school Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in accounting or finance preferred.
  • 3–5 years of experience in accounts payable or payment processing.
  • Previous experience with check printing operations and security protocols.
  • Experience with ERP systems (Workday experience highly preferred).
  • Working knowledge of check printing equipment and software.
  • Understanding of banking systems and positive pay file formats.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues with printing systems.
  • Experience with security and audit controls.
  • Accuracy rate of check production (target: 99.9%).
  • Timeliness of daily check runs and distributions.
  • Compliance with positive pay submission deadlines.
  • Check security audit results.
  • Accuracy of daily balancing and reconciliation.
  • Response time to check-related inquiries and issues.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in high-volume environment.
  • Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and controls.
  • Proficiency in Workday ERP system.
  • Advanced knowledge of positive pay processes and banking procedures.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and security protocols.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Strong communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
