Are you a process-oriented accounting professional with a passion for automation and continuous improvement? TruStage's Accounting Operations team is seeking a talented specialist to help us shape the future of our accounting processes.
The Accounting Operations team at TruStage, consisting of five full-time employees and nine full-time offshore contractors based in India, is responsible for core accounting tasks including automated and manual journal entries, account reconciliations and reporting. Additionally, the group is engaged in special accounting projects, internal controls maintenance and audit support.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute directly to the evolution of our accounting processes through automation and the adoption of cutting-edge tools. We are regularly developing and implementing innovative process improvements to improve the speed, accuracy and controls of all accounting processes in the Controller Department in coordination with other Finance departments.
As the Accounting Operations Process Specialist, you will be instrumental in enhancing the efficiency, accuracy, and control of our accounting processes, directly contributing to the overall effectiveness of the Controller Department.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct reviews of journal entries and reconciliations identifying accounting issues and implementing process improvements.
- Lead the identification, development, and implementation of process improvements leveraging technology and best practices to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and controls.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our accounting systems and processes, proactively sharing this knowledge through training and documentation.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and provide leadership on complex accounting projects, guiding the team and ensuring successful outcomes.
- Act as a data steward, developing a comprehensive understanding of financial systems and processes to ensure the integrity and reliability of financial information.
- Partner with internal and external auditors to facilitate efficient and effective audit processes.
- Continuously evaluate and integrate new accounting system tools and functionalities into our processes to optimize performance.
- Update, monitor and develop ledger, reconciliation and period close analytics and performance indicators.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Financial discipline or equivalent work experience.

Four years' experience in business related role preferred
- Advanced/expert Excel skills including programming in VBA and in Power Query
- Proven ability to leverage and efficiently use accounting systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven track record of analyzing processes, identifying root causes, and developing and implementing effective process improvements.
- Ability to analyze and interpret complex accounting ledger activity
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience with Workday and Blackline software

Compensation may vary based on the job level, your geographic work location, position incentive plan and exemption status.
Base Salary Range:
$71,700.00 - $107,600.00
