Accounting Manager
Location: ON-SITE in Centennial, CO
Reports To: Director of Accounting

As the Accounting Manager, you will oversee the efficient and precise handling of daily accounting transactions and monthly reconciliations, provide strategic leadership and financial stewardship, and navigate high-volume transactional environments.

Responsibilities
The Accounting Manager will have direct supervision and responsibilities as follows:
- Core Responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable & Treasury: Strategically manage the Accounts Payable (A/P) function, overseeing the timely execution of checks, ACH, and wire transfers, and leading all high-level bank and treasury system interactions, including anti-fraud verification.
- Accounts Receivable & Risk Management: Strategically manage the Accounts Receivable (A/R) and collections process to optimize A/R turnover and significantly mitigate risk from delinquent accounts.
- Reconciliations: Supervise and review all monthly bank and credit card statement reconciliations promptly and accurately.
- Expense Compliance: Supervise and review all monthly expense reports processing to ensure compliance with company policies.
- Internal Controls: Help design, implement, and enforce internal controls and quality control procedures.
- Team Development & Oversight: Serve as a mentor and manager for accounting staff, leading staff improvement and training initiatives, and direct the performance review process for all assigned direct reports.
- Additional Responsibilities:
- Special Projects: Collaborate with the Director of Accounting on special projects focused on operational excellence, acquisitions and integrations, software implementations and customizations and other special projects.
- Audit Support: Collaborate with the Director of Accounting and Controller in support and documentation of audit support materials.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting required; CPA designation or relevant professional certifications preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of progressive, relevant experience, including significant leadership roles, particularly in high-volume transactional environments with a focus on complex payables, payment systems, and financial controls.
- Technical Skills:
- Advanced-level analytical and complex problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to strategically multi-task and manage diverse teams in a demanding, fast-paced setting.
- Advanced proficiency in Google Workspace and/or MS Office Suite applications.
- Expert-level proficiency with a major ERP system, such as NetSuite.
- Advanced written and oral communication skills for executive-level interaction.
- Industry Knowledge: Previous experience within the precious metals industry or other commodity trading platforms is highly advantageous.
