We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead our accounting team and ensure the integrity of our financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies.
- Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making with department stakeholders.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering professional development and promoting best practices.
- Prepare and coordinate external audits, acting as the primary liaison with auditors.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Support improvement and building of appropriate systems and efficient processes and controls.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA certification preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting software (Sage Intacct and Workday Adaptive a plus) and advanced Excel skills.
- Solid understanding of GAAP and financial regulations.
- Ability to move beyond simple report creation to provide deep data analysis that supports “top level financial analysis”.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Capability to support the increased complexity of new product launches and enhance financial oversight as the company scales.
