The Accounting Manager manages and coordinates accounting activities and operations of the company. Responsibilities include collecting, analyzing, and reporting financial information and partnering with senior members to advance our company's goals. In this position, you'll be expected to professionally and accurately communicate financial information and work closely with other team members, serving as a mentor who guides and manages performance.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting department operations while ensuring dual coverage of all functions; serve as backup on critical functions
- Oversee accounting policies, financial systems and processes, tax and regulatory requirements, internal controls and management reporting and forecasting
- Ensure month-end financial close and reporting in accordance with established timelines
- Ensure the company is in compliance with all internal policies and relevant regulations and ensure any external filings are completed in a timely manner
- Drive efficiencies, automation and accuracy in the department
- Ensure financial management reporting tools and processes are in place to support the ongoing and future needs of the business
- Develop, prepare and present monthly management reporting packages
- Present monthly and year-to-date financials with accompanying analysis of results
- Deliver data-driven financial insights to leadership on a regular basis
- Develop regular dashboard style reporting and analysis, including key metrics reports, and conduct ad hoc financial analysis as required
- Lead the company’s strategic planning and budgeting process
- Support the performance of due diligence and oversee integration of acquisitions

Experience and Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in finance and accounting, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity
- Sound understanding of US GAAP and financial consolidation processes
- Demonstrated ability to oversee monthly and year-end closing in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with NetSuite
- Experience in M&A transactions
- Strong supervisory and organizational skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Displays the personal attributes of integrity, leadership and customer commitment
- Performance driven work ethic
- Self-starting personality; ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously; ability to work independently and make decisions
