About The Team

The Crunchyroll Accounting Team is a global organization of nearly 50 professionals working together to support all of our critical business functions and ensuring compliance with accounting standards, company policy and regulatory bodies. As part of the accounting leadership team, this individual is joining during a period of significant transformation and will have an opportunity to help build out an outstanding team and processes to help the company achieve our ambitious goals for global growth in both the near and long term!

Location: Melbourne (hybrid)

About You:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA (or equivalent) certification is highly preferred.
  • 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience working in multinational corporations.
  • Experience with international transfer pricing analyses and tax treatments.
  • Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to operate in a fast paced, highly dynamic environment.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge.
  • Experience using NetSuite is an asset.

A day in the life of our Financial Controller:

  • Business partnering with non-financial departments of the company.
  • Manage and review month-end and year end close processes.
  • Inter-company journals and reconciliations.
  • Manage a small local team while interacting and coordinating with other teams across several geographical locations.
  • Point of contact for external stakeholders (audit, tax etc).
  • Manage year end audit and tax processes, preparation of statutory reports & transfer pricing documentation, and liaise with external and internal tax teams to prepare year end income tax returns and associated reports.
  • Prepare detailed ad hoc, and monthly financial analyses to assist business with operational decision making.

This is a one year fixed term contract
