JOB TITLE: Accountant

REPORTS TO: Director of Operations

SCOPE OF POSITION: An accountant is a part-time contractor role within the Accordus team. This team member fills critical accounting functions for Accordus clients, including both for-profit and non-profit accounting services.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reconciling the client bank statements and bookkeeping ledgers
  • Managing income and expenditure accounts
  • Generating the company's financial reports using income and expenditure data
  • Filing and remitting taxes and other financial obligations
  • Initiating and managing financial and accounting software used by the company
  • Working with QuickBooks Online (prior experience preferred)

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years of accounting experience
  • Experience with non-profit accounting preferred
  • CPA preferred
  • Bachelors (or equivalent in accounting or related field)
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong time management skills
  • Ability to work independently
