We believe in the life-changing impact youth sports have on and off the field because they encourage leadership, teamwork, responsibility, and confidence—important life lessons that have the power to propel our youth toward meaningful futures. We recognize that without coaches, parents, and volunteers, organized youth sports could not exist. By building the first and best place to experience the youth sports moments important to our community, we are helping families elevate the next generation through youth sports.

So if you love sports and their community-building potential, or building cool products is your sport, GameChanger is the team for you. We are a remote-first, dynamic tech company based in New York City, and we are solving some of the biggest challenges in youth sports today.

About the Role

GameChanger is the #1 youth sports app for live streaming, scorekeeping, and team management. We power millions of games each year, connecting athletes, families, and communities through technology. As we expand across sports—including continued growth in baseball and softball and rapid investment in basketball—we’re building a sales function to accelerate our next phase of growth.

We’re looking for our first Account Manager to join our growing sales organization. Reporting directly to the Director of Sales, you’ll own the customer journey after the initial sale—from a seamless handoff and onboarding through adoption, expansion, and renewal. You’ll serve as a trusted partner to Club Directors and other organization leaders, helping them successfully launch GameChanger across their teams and build lasting value over time.

This is a unique opportunity to help define and scale GameChanger’s account management motion. You’ll partner closely with Sales, Customer Experience, Marketing, Product, and other teams to turn new partnerships into healthy, growing customer relationships while bringing the voice of the customer back into the business.

You’ll focus on two key growth areas:

  • Basketball (B2B2C): Guiding clubs and organizations from onboarding through sustained adoption across teams, athletes, and families

  • Diamond Sports (B2B): Retaining and expanding relationships with leagues, tournaments, and organizations in baseball and softball

If you’re energized by building trusted partnerships, thrive in a high-ownership environment, and enjoy turning customer outcomes into durable business growth, we’d love to meet you.

What You’ll Do

Lead the Post-Sale Transition & Onboarding

  • Own the customer relationship from the moment a new agreement is signed, partnering with the Account Executive on a clear handoff.

  • Lead onboarding with Club Directors and organization leaders, including account configuration, team setup, stakeholder alignment, and launch planning.

  • Create clear success plans, milestones, and responsibilities that help each organization move quickly from signed agreement to active use.

  • Equip Club Directors and coaches with the guidance, resources, and communication plans they need to introduce GameChanger to teams and families.

Drive Adoption & Account Growth

  • Build trusted, ongoing relationships with Club Directors, league administrators, coaches, and other key stakeholders through regular, proactive check-ins.

  • Monitor customer health and adoption signals—including team setup, coach activation, parent participation, athlete claims, and fan engagement—to identify progress, gaps, and opportunities.

  • Develop and execute account plans that increase product adoption, deepen engagement, and expand GameChanger across additional teams, programs, or sports.

  • Coordinate targeted education, enablement, and lifecycle communications with Customer Experience and Marketing to help customers achieve their goals.

Own Retention & Renewals

  • Own the renewal process for your portfolio, from early planning and value reinforcement through agreement execution.

  • Identify risk early, build recovery plans, and mobilize the right internal partners to protect customer outcomes and retention.

  • Maintain accurate account health, renewal forecasting, growth opportunities, and customer activity in the CRM.

  • Consistently achieve retention, renewal, adoption, and expansion goals.

Build & Improve the Account Management Motion

  • Help establish repeatable onboarding, account planning, adoption, expansion, referral and renewal playbooks as the function grows.

  • Share customer insights and patterns with Sales, Customer Experience, Marketing, and Product to improve the end-to-end customer journey and inform roadmap priorities.

  • Partner with Sales leadership to define success metrics, operating rhythms, and scalable processes for account management.

Who You Are

  • 3–5+ years of B2B or B2B2C account management, customer success, or post-sales experience, ideally with responsibility for renewals and expansion.

  • Consistent track record of meeting or exceeding retention, renewal, adoption, or growth goals.

  • Experience onboarding and managing multi-stakeholder accounts, from senior decision-makers to day-to-day users.

  • Strong consultative, relationship-building, and executive communication skills, with the ability to connect customer goals to measurable outcomes.

  • Comfort using customer data and account health signals to prioritize action and manage a portfolio proactively.

  • Experience using CRM and customer success platforms such as HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar tools.

  • Self-starter who enjoys working in an early-stage, fast-paced environment with significant ownership.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the diamond (baseball/softball) and basketball sports markets.

  • Prior experience working within the club sports ecosystem is highly preferred.

  • Ability to travel on an as-needed basis.

Why Join GameChanger

  • Opportunity to help shape the future of the sales organization at a category-leading product

  • Direct impact on growth across multiple sports and customer segments

  • Work on a product that is deeply meaningful to athletes, families, and communities
