As a Mid-Market Account Executive at Bonterra, you’ll play a key role in driving revenue growth by identifying, qualifying, and closing new business opportunities within the mid-market business segment. You’ll be responsible for building trusted relationships with decision-makers, uncovering their goals, and positioning our solutions to meet their needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Execution

  • Conduct in-depth discovery and research to understand prospects’ business challenges and goals

  • Deliver engaging, customized sales presentations that clearly articulate the value of our products and services

  • Tailor solutions to address each client’s specific requirements and pain points

  • Participate in regular training and professional development to continually sharpen your sales skills

Relationship Building

  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders in small business organizations

  • Take a consultative approach to identify how our software supports their objectives

  • Partner cross-functionally with Customer Success, Product, and Support teams to ensure client satisfaction and long-term success

Sales Cycle Management

  • Own and manage the full sales cycle—from discovery to contract negotiation and close

  • Maintain accurate forecasting and reporting of sales activities and pipeline using CRM tools

  • Deliver timely and reliable updates on deal progress and performance metrics

Qualifications

  • Proven success in B2B software sales, preferably with experience in the nonprofit or small business sectors

  • Strong command of the consultative sales process with a solution-oriented mindset

  • Excellent presentation, communication, negotiation, and objection-handling skills

  • Ability to build and maintain rapport with diverse stakeholders

  • Self-starter with a results-driven approach and ability to work independently in a remote environment

Compensation

The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and in addition to benefits this role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses/incentives, and equity.

US Base Salary: $55k - $62k base salary with monthly commission opportunities
