THE TEAM
We are seeking a high-performing SMB Account Executive to join our growing Sales team. This individual will play a key role in driving new business within the small and medium-sized business segment. You’ll be responsible for identifying prospects, managing the full sales cycle, and closing new customer accounts that align with Torch’s mission and growth strategy.
This is a quota-carrying role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment and is excited about helping organizations invest in their people.
YOUR ROLE
- Own the full sales cycle from initial outreach to close for SMB accounts (companies typically under 1,000 employees).
- Prospect, qualify, and generate new business opportunities through outbound efforts and marketing-generated leads.
- Conduct discovery calls and product demos to understand client needs and showcase the value of Torch’s solutions.
- Collaborate with Sales Development Representatives (SDRs), Marketing, and Customer Success to ensure a seamless handoff and high-quality experience.
- Consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly revenue targets.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in our CRM (Salesforce).
- Provide feedback to Product and Marketing on trends, objections, and opportunities in the SMB market.
YOU HAVE
- 2–4 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in SaaS or professional development/HR tech.
- Proven ability to meet or exceed sales quotas.
- Comfortable managing a high volume of leads and a transactional sales cycle.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to thrive in a remote, collaborative, and fast-paced environment.
- CRM proficiency (Salesforce experience strongly preferred).

- Familiarity with the leadership development or coaching landscape.

Please note that the above range of $150-$170k is OTE, with an 80/80 split of base and variable compensation.
