Develop and execute strategic territory plans targeting concierge medicine and functional medicine practices within your assigned geographyBuild and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified prospects through prospecting, networking, and referral developmentManage complex, consultative sales cycles averaging 6-12 months from initial contact to contract signature
Conduct comprehensive needs assessments to understand practice workflows, patient populations, and clinical challengesCollaborate with clinical affairs team to design customized diagnostic solutions that address specific practice needsLead product demonstrations and educational sessions that showcase clinical utility and practice integration benefits
Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with key opinion leaders, practice management companies, and healthcare networksRepresent Viome at industry conferences, medical society meetings, and regional healthcare eventsDevelop referral relationships with complementary healthcare technology vendors and consultants
Work closely with implementation team to ensure smooth onboarding and optimal utilization of diagnostic servicesMonitor customer satisfaction and identify opportunities for expanded testing volumes and additional service offeringsServe as voice of customer to internal teams, providing feedback on product development and service enhancement opportunities
Maintain deep understanding of competitive landscape, regulatory environment, and reimbursement trendsProvide market feedback to inform product development, pricing strategies, and go-to-market approachesCollaborate with marketing team to develop territory-specific campaigns and educational content

Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in life sciences, business, or healthcare preferred5-10 years of progressive B2B sales experience in healthcare, with proven track record selling to healthcare providersExperience selling laboratory developed tests (LDTs), molecular diagnostics, or similar clinical testing services strongly preferredDemonstrated success in relationship-based selling environments with long sales cycles and complex decision-making processes
Proven ability to consistently meet or exceed sales targets in competitive healthcare marketsExceptional communication and presentation skills, with ability to translate complex scientific concepts for diverse audiencesStrong business acumen with experience developing territory strategies, forecasting, and pipeline managementProficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and sales productivity toolsAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
