Shift4’s Crypto team is looking for someone to join our business development team that will sell an assortment of crypto and stablecoin related products to merchants. The role will be focused on selling crypto payment and settlement solutions, but it could also involve selling card processing solutions to crypto exchanges and ramps.
This role will involve wearing a lot of hats and will be different from a purely traditional Account Executive role. You will do everything from cold outreach to taking deals all the way to going live, and some ongoing account support, but you’ll also be involved in informing the strategic growth of the crypto vertical at Shift4.
You’ll also be selling to existing Shift4 merchants. Shift4 has hundreds of thousands of existing merchants, many of whom are not yet using crypto and stablecoin products. This will be a unique opportunity to help us ramp up the adoption of crypto products for existing merchants in addition to net new Shift4 merchants!
You’ll report directly to the Director of Crypto and work closely with the Head of Crypto.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and refine sales processes to support business development goals and drive revenue growth.
- Maintain and monitor sales pipelines, providing regular reporting and insights to inform strategic decision-making.
- Manage pipelines for different products like “Pay with Crypto” and “Stablecoin Settlement” offerings.
- Perform cold outreach to build out the top of funnel.
- Handle inbound requests from existing channels.
- Sell crypto and stablecoin products to existing Shift4 merchants.
- Support onboarding and ongoing account management of crypto customers as needed.
- Help provide feedback to inform strategy and direction of the crypto vertical.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred, but not required. Years of experience will be considered in lieu of a college degree.
- 5+ years of experience in account management and/or inside sales.
- Experience with crypto and stablecoins (personally or professionally).
- Self-starter and able to work with limited daily supervision.
- You have to be interested in working in a startup-like environment. Shift4 is a large company but our business unit operates much more like a startup so you have to be ready to be flexible and adaptable to the changing priorities.
- Strong organizational and communication skills preferred.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to evolving business needs.
This position may require working hours outside of normal business hours occasionally.
