The Global Reach Account Director is responsible for driving revenue growth across Zayo’s global markets by supporting accounts across all sales verticals — including Large Enterprise, Financial Services, AI, and Business & Consumer Services. This role focuses on new logo acquisition, expansion within existing accounts, and reactivation of dormant customers. This position reports to the Overlay Sales Director and dotted line to the Managing Director of Zayo Global Reach. 

Location: This remote work role will consider applicants that reside in the continental United States.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in the global telecom landscape, excels at building trusted relationships within complex organizations, and partners effectively with Zayo’s account teams to position Global Reach solutions. Success in this role requires a consultative approach, strong business development capabilities, and the ability to navigate large, complex deals involving high-bandwidth infrastructure solutions such as Wavelengths, Ethernet, IP/DIA, and custom global connectivity. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Drive sales of Zayo Global Reach products and services across assigned verticals and account patches. 

  • Lead business development efforts to identify and convert new logo opportunities and re-engage dormant accounts. 

  • Develop and execute account strategies in partnership with Zayo Sales teams to expand global footprint. 

  • Lead customer engagements, acting as the global face of Zayo Global Reach. 

  • Identify and pursue opportunities across new logos, existing accounts, and dormant customers. 

  • Present tailored proposals and guide customers through the sales process. 

  • Maintain and grow existing revenue through renewals and upsell opportunities. 

  • Manage pipeline and forecast accurately using Salesforce and other reporting tools. 

  • Provide market feedback to Global Reach product and operations teams to inform roadmap and execution. 

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure customer satisfaction and revenue objectives are met. 

  • Support customer needs related to global connectivity and infrastructure solutions. 

 

Qualifications 

  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in strategic sales, managing large complex customer relationships. 

  • Proven success in autonomous, high-performance environments. 

  • Strong understanding of global telecom infrastructure, including:  

  • High-bandwidth Wavelengths 

  • Point-to-Point Ethernet 

  • Global DIA 

  • Underlay network access 

  • Custom diverse global solutions 

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. 

  • Ability to collaborate across teams and influence without direct authority. 

  • Strong sense of urgency and results orientation. 

  • Familiarity with Zayo’s product portfolio: Fiber Infrastructure, Transport, IP, SD-WAN, Security, NaaS solutions (DynamicLink, Waves on demand) 

  • Willingness to travel nationally and internationally (~20%). 

Estimated base salary range: $135,000 - $160,000 USD/annually. This role is eligible to participate in the sales commission plan.

The base pay range shown is a guideline and reasonable estimate for this role. It takes into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted range based upon geographic location, work experience, skill level, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Non- sales roles may be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive plan. Sales roles may be eligible to participate in a sales incentive plan.

Additionally, this position may be eligible for certain benefits, such as health insurance, life insurance, disability retirement plans, paid time off.
