The Account Analysis and Reporting Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the bank’s account analysis, billing, and reporting processes for Commercial Banking customers. This role serves as the primary subject matter expert for the Account Analysis and Core Banking Systems (CBS), ensuring accurate billing, strong data integrity, and meaningful reporting. Acting as a key liaison between Commercial Banking, Product Management, Finance, and IT, the Manager leads the account analysis and reporting team and translates business needs into system and process enhancements. This role drives automation, operational efficiency, revenue optimization, and data-driven insights that support competitive growth across Business and Commercial Banking.
Serve as the operator and subject matter expert supporting all aspects of the CBS and Account Analysis billing systems.
Manage and oversee account analysis and reporting processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and regulatory compliance.
Collaborate with Commercial Product Managers, Finance, IT, and other cross-functional teams to understand account management workflows, reporting requirements, and data needs.
Analyze financial systems and processes, including account analysis, billing, reconciliation, reporting, and variance analysis.
Produce monthly reporting that highlights captured revenue, pricing effectiveness, and revenue leakage opportunities for Business and Commercial Banking portfolios.
Provide strategic, value-added insights and recommendations to realize operational efficiencies, optimize pricing and billing practices, and drive competitive growth.
Identify and lead opportunities to streamline, standardize, and automate account analysis and billing processes to improve efficiency and scalability.
Gather, document, and maintain detailed business and functional requirements for system enhancements, including data mappings and reporting specifications.
Participate in the design, development, testing, and implementation of system enhancements, upgrades, and integrations.
Conduct thorough testing and validation of system changes to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards.
Monitor system performance and data integrity, proactively identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving issues.
Develop and deliver training and ongoing support for market and operational users on account analysis systems, tools, and reporting capabilities.
Support management reporting, ad hoc analysis, and executive-level presentations related to commercial account profitability, pricing, and performance.
This position can work from any of our market locations in Missouri, Oklahoma, Kansas, Colorado, North Carolina, or Florida.
Preferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree (BS or BA) in Finance, Business, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of banking experience, including experience with Commercial Banking products, account analysis, pricing, or related operational roles.
Minimum of 2 years of people management or supervisory experience, including responsibility for coaching, performance management, and employee development.
Strong understanding of Commercial Banking customer needs, pricing structures, and product offerings; sales or relationship management experience preferred.
Knowledge of technology platforms and trends impacting Commercial Banking products and financial systems.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data manipulation or reporting tools.
Basic working knowledge of Microsoft SQL.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills with strong attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across business and technical teams.
Preferred Skills
Experience with account analysis, billing, or core banking systems.
Experience leading or supporting system implementations, reporting transformations, or process improvement initiatives.
Familiarity with financial controls, audits, and regulatory requirements related to commercial banking operations.
