953- Laravel Application Developer

We need an English-fluent Laravel Application Developer, based in Latin America, available to work remotely.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable PHP code using the Laravel framework.
• Build innovative, state-of-the-art applications while considering the user experience at all stages.
• Integrate a variety of data sources, databases, and third-party APIs.
• Maintain and enhance existing web-based applications, ensuring they run smoothly.
• Ensure HTML, CSS, and shared JavaScript are valid, high-quality, and consistent across applications.
• Troubleshoot, test, and debug issues in development, testing, and production environments.
• Write and execute tests to verify functionality for both end-users and the backend.
• Communicate all task progress, evaluations, suggestions, and deadlines effectively to the management team and global colleagues.
• Document applications thoroughly for future support and seamless after-care handoff.
• Actively participate in code reviews and contribute to team best practices.
• Keep abreast of new trends and best practices in web software development.
• Record and report on work completed.

Requirements:

• Proven experience and strong proficiency with PHP and the Laravel framework.
• Strong proficiency with the Vue.js framework.
• A solid understanding of MVC architecture and application design patterns.
• Strong experience with MySQL and a detailed understanding of database design and administration.
• Proficiency with front-end technologies: HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
• Strong experience with version control using Git.
• Comfortable working with the command-line interface (CLI) and SSH.
• Demonstrated ability to integrate various data sources and databases into a single system.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a critical, analytical mindset.
• Great communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a global team.
• A proactive desire and ability to learn new technologies and methodologies.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage tasks and deadlines responsibly.

It´s a Plus:

• Experience with Inertia.js to build single-page applications with Laravel and Vue.
• Familiarity with foundational DevOps practices (e.g., CI/CD, server management, DNS).
• Experience with WordPress development or customization.
• Understanding of UI/UX design principles.
