Job Objective:
Monitors, maintains, and controls the safe, healthy and environmentally sound operations of the gas/oil pipelines.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintains safe and healthy work environment by practicing pipeline standards, adhering to legal regulations, and conducting inspections.

  • Readily identifies and promptly acts upon or efficiently organizes any efforts needed to address safety and operational efficiencies, and protection of community, personnel, environment and assets.

Other Job Responsibilities:

  • Ability to be available 24 hours per day (on call for questions, emergencies, etc.).
  • Will be part of the groups after hours callout rotation responsible for all pipeline, compression, dehydration, and site related issues. Tech will be required to learn basic troubleshooting and startup tasks required to be proficient during callout situations.
  • Tech will need to be proficient at bringing site equipment (compression, dehys, etc.) back online after upsets due to pigging, various pipeline related upsets, or maintenance.
  • Maintains employee confidence and protects company assets, including intellectual property, by keeping information confidential.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Four (4) years – seven (7) years minimum oil and gas and pipeline experience.
  • Ability to accurately solve problems.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with employees, supervisors, other departments, officials, and the public.
  • Ability to perform work assignments with little or no supervision.
  • Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities.
  • Ability to accurately perform tasks.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with different truck groups that transport product.
  • Proficiency in the use and application of the following software: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & Outlook).
  • Ability to make independent, rational decisions, as required.
  • Ability to maintain the integrity of the pipeline process.
  • Ability to work alone and highly motivated.
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle in and around process area. Ability to consider safety in all decisions.
  • Self-starter, team player, and comfortable working under pressure.

Education Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED. Some college preferred or any equivalent combination of education and experience demonstrating sufficient knowledge, ability and skill to handle the duties and responsibilities of the position.
