Are you ready to explore the world of financial risk management and advisory? Chatham Financial’s Summer Internship Program offers a unique opportunity to gain real-world experience alongside experts in capital markets. Over the course of 10 weeks, you’ll work as an integral part of our client services, engagement, or operations teams; developing critical skills in finance, analytics, and consulting through meaningful, hands-on projects. 

What You'll Do: 

Your experience will vary based on team placement, but past interns have contributed to impactful initiatives such as: 

  • Supporting work in interest rate and foreign currency risk, debt and derivative valuation, financial reporting, structured finance, client support, hedge accounting, and capital markets solutions. 
  • Assisting in data analysis, market research, client deliverables, trade reporting, and presentation development. 
  • Building business intelligence dashboards, enhancing operational workflows, and participating in collateral management and trade lifecycle tasks. 
  • Collaborating on a capstone intern project with peer interns and guidance from subject matter experts. Past projects have included: 
    • Designing client education materials 
    • Conducting SWOT analyses of new services 
    • Researching risk management best practices 
    • Developing strategic business plans for prospective clients 
  • Participating in weekly company-wide and team meetings, as well as intern social and networking events.

Who We’re Looking For: 

We seek motivated, curious individuals with a collaborative mindset and a desire to make a difference. Ideal candidates will: 

  • Be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program and entering their junior or senior year during Summer 2026. 
  • Be pursuing a degree in business, finance, economics, mathematics, or a related field. 
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. 
  • Exhibit leadership potential and a service-oriented attitude. 
  • Be comfortable working with large datasets; experience with financial modeling and statistical analysis is a plus. 
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with additional tools (e.g., Python, SQL) is a plus.

The internship program will begin on June 1, 2026, and runs through August 7, 2026. Applicants must be available for the duration of the program, Monday – Friday from 8:30am-5:30pm, onsite in your designated office.   

For Colorado based candidates, the compensation range for the position is expected to be between $27.00 - $29.00 per hour.
