Sandy Mac Evolution LLC is seeking a Network/System Administrator I to support Department of Defense Special Access Program environments at Schriever AFB, Colorado.
The Network/System Administrator I will organize, install, operate, and support government computer systems and networks, including local area networks, wide area networks, network segments, intranets, and related data communication systems.
The selected candidate will provide day-to-day systems and network administration support within Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and Special Access Program (SAP) environments and assist with system monitoring, troubleshooting, cybersecurity operations, infrastructure maintenance, and technical support.
- Execute day-to-day management and operation of assigned systems and networks under supervision.
- Manage commercial and government-off-the-shelf products used for system security, monitoring, and operational performance.
- Follow Operations and Maintenance checklists for daily, weekly, monthly, and annual system requirements.
- Develop and maintain associated Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Operate enterprise security monitoring and Security Information and Event Management tools.
- Create and tailor event alarms, rules, and summary reports.
- Assist with analysis of technical risks associated with emerging cybersecurity tools and processes.
- Support security incident response activities as required.
- Administer and support Microsoft Windows Server and desktop environments.
- Support enterprise networking, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and virtualization technologies.
- Support vulnerability assessment and security tools such as ACAS, Nessus, and SCAP.
- Assist with Group Policy management, configuration, scripting, patching, and system administration.
- Support LAN/WAN technologies, network switching, data backup, and communications security integration.
- Assist users with technical and system-related issues.
- Ensure systems and networks are operated in accordance with applicable DoD security policies and procedures.
- 1–3 years of related Network/System Administration experience.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows desktop and server operating systems.
- Working knowledge of Cisco networking and switching technologies.
- Familiarity with LAN/WAN technologies and enterprise network environments.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V, VMware, ESXi, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity and system/network administration requirements.
- Ability to support system security monitoring and cybersecurity operations.
- Ability to work onsite at Schriever AFB, Colorado.
- Previous Special Access Program experience.
- DoD 8570 Information Assurance Technician Level I qualification/certification.
- Experience supporting Collateral, SCI, or SAP information systems.
- Experience with RMF, system security policies, assessments, and authorization activities.
A bachelor’s degree in a related field is desired. Relevant education may be considered toward experience requirements in accordance with contract requirements.
- Current Top Secret eligibility with SCI eligibility.
- Current/in-scope background investigation, enrollment in Continuous Evaluation, or qualifying open periodic reinvestigation.
- Eligibility for access to Special Access Program information.
- Willingness to submit to a Counterintelligence polygraph.
- Must maintain required security eligibility throughout employment.
- Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work onsite in a classified government environment.
