Conducts computational analysis of marine microbial genomic datasets, developing bioinformatics pipelines for metagenomics, metatranscriptomics, comparative genomics, phylogenomics, and functional analysis. Integrates sequence data with high-performance computing systems, manages research data, develops genotype-to-phenotype hypotheses, and supports visualization and statistical analysis. The role also involves occasional laboratory work, including sequencing, DNA/RNA isolation, PCR, microbial cultivation, and experimental design, plus training students and staff in analytical methods.
