<p>Whimseybox uses creative content to drive ecommerce sales of DIY and craft supplies to the Pinterest generation.</p><p>We make it easy for anyone to start making by simplifying the process of finding and buying the right supplies for a project. In an industry that has historically marketed to 'girl scouts and grandmas' our stylish and fresh content-driven approach inspires and educates interested DIYers. For our audience, Whimseybox is the gateway drug to DIY.</p><p>Our first product was a $15/monthly subscription box targeted to 20-40 year old women that made it easy for them to Stop Pinning and Start Making! Each box included a project idea, instructions and all of the supplies to make it. It's been described as "Pinterest on your doorstep." But one project/month was just the beginning. Now we've (1) built out a fully custom ecommerce supply shop that can intelligently match supplies to project ideas hosted on our site and (2) built Whimseybox Influencer, technology to create a Supply List for any project on the web. These projects and Supply Lists can be shared on whimseybox.com and/or embedded directly into any blog or website. When a purchase is made, the content creator shares in the sale. This creates a much-needed new revenue stream for publishers who are struggling with plummeting display advertising rates. It also gives them a way to measure and track their influence and creates a better experience for their audience.&nbsp;</p>
