Provide warm, empathetic customer service for veterinary emergency patients: greet customers, manage calls/emails/texts, route urgent medical issues, process payments, update clinical teams, follow up post-visit, and support difficult financial or end-of-life conversations.

Lead and manage the veterinary nursing team to ensure excellent emergency patient care. Oversee scheduling, payroll, hiring, onboarding, performance, licensure compliance, training, mentorship, and daily hospital flow. Partner with hospital leadership and clinicians to resolve care and team issues and foster a learning, values-driven culture.

Greet and support customers in-person, phone, and online; manage communications and routing urgent medical calls; process payments; provide empathetic guidance on finances and end-of-life decisions; follow up after visits; keep clinical staff informed and create memorable customer experiences.

Build and improve backend systems (primarily DogByte) supporting hospital workflows. Own projects end-to-end from design to production, collaborate with Product, SRE, and DevSecOps, apply AI tools thoughtfully to developer workflows, and review cross-team work to ensure reliability, scalability, and maintainability.

Lead clinical and operational strategy for one or more emergency hospitals: recruit and develop staff, provide emergency and primary veterinary care, coach leaders, monitor KPIs and P&L, manage budgets and referrals, ensure clinical standards, and supervise a large medical and management team with occasional domestic travel.

Lead a market of 4+ emergency veterinary hospitals, oversee hospital leaders, manage P&L, drive growth and clinical/operational excellence, build referral relationships, hire and develop talent, and protect VEG brand and culture.

Lead a multi-hospital market (4+ hospitals), driving operational, clinical, cultural, and financial performance. Coach hospital leaders, manage P&L, grow referral networks, hire and develop talent, partner cross-functionally, monitor market trends, and represent the brand locally.
