Assist with commercial climbing route and boulder setting, hold washing, equipment organization, facility maintenance, and work-area setup. Learn work-at-height safety, rope systems, forerunning, movement creation, and route-setting techniques under supervision. Maintain supplies, attend training and meetings, follow safety procedures, communicate professionally, and collaborate with the setting team. The structured 90-day apprenticeship evaluates readiness for potential routesetter placement.

Creates and maintains commercial bouldering problems and climbing routes for users of all skill levels. Responsibilities include route setting, grading, quality control, equipment maintenance, hold stripping and cleaning, route taping, setting-area organization, safety compliance, forerunning, and collaboration with setting leads. The role requires physical work at heights, climbing, use of power tools, occasional long or off-hours shifts, and professional communication with gym members.
