Teams at Sierra Space

Leads the technical direction and management of guidance, navigation, and control engineering for spacecraft, aircraft, and autonomous systems. Performs hands-on control, estimation, sensor fusion, trajectory optimization, simulation, and hardware-in-the-loop testing. Supervises GNC design, analysis, and testing teams while managing technical risks, budgets, schedules, plans, procedures, and deliverables. Communicates with engineers, program managers, and customers and drives improvements to GNC tools, methodologies, and processes.

Leads end-to-end government proposal development, including RFP analysis, Shipley processes, response creation, color team reviews, production, formatting, editing, compliance matrices, and final submissions. Oversees complex and classified proposals, SharePoint collaboration, content libraries, desktop publishing, and technical document support. Coordinates multiple stakeholders, deadlines, and proposal teams while providing deputy-level support to proposal operations management and mentoring or assisting staff as needed.

Develops and integrates complex spacecraft and mission systems throughout the product lifecycle. Responsibilities include deriving and managing requirements, developing system architectures and concepts of operation, supporting milestone reviews, overseeing integration and verification, tracking technical performance, managing risks, and coordinating cross-functional engineering teams. The role may lead small systems engineering teams and requires compliance with established engineering processes and standards.
