About Lead Counsel Jeff Schell:

Jeff Schell is an experienced attorney focusing on intellectual property and startup issues. Jeff serves a variety of inventors and founders with dedication, focus and experience.

As a USPTO-Licensed Patent Attorney, Jeff advises inventors and innovative companies, helping them create assets out of ideas. Jeff draws upon his consulting experience to help clients broaden their patent specifications to the greatest extent possible, increasing their potentially patentable subject matter. With a focus on early stage startups and solo/small group inventors, Jeff strives to structure his services to make them affordable to anyone who is serious about protecting their ideas. He regularly helps inventors build strategies around the USPTO’s new rules that potentially establish reduced fees for solo and early stage inventors.

Jeff attended Northwestern University’s McCormick School of Engineering, graduating with degrees in Industrial Engineering & Management Sciences and Economics in 2004. He subsequently earned his Juris Doctor while jointly participating in the Masters in International Studies
