Embed within product, software, and data teams to translate ITAR/EAR and OFAC requirements into scalable product features and workflows; conduct export classification reviews; design technical access controls and KYC/restricted-party screening; manage compliance vendor contracts; maintain contemporaneous documentation; audit deployment and development workflows to enable secure, compliant rapid delivery.

Develops and operates Planet's large-scale distributed backend services to process satellite imagery workflows reliably 24x7. Builds cloud-native services (Go/Python) on Kubernetes/GCP, manages persistence (Spanner, Redis, Postgres, BigTable), improves scalability and reliability, implements monitoring/alerts/runbooks, and participates in on-call rotations and incident response.
