Design and document mechanical building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and energy modeling. Perform mechanical calculations, thermal simulations, system layouts, and construction administration tasks under experienced project guidance. Develop proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, TRACE, IES, building codes, and industry standards while supporting engineering distribution and reading construction plans.

Mechanical Engineering Interns support sustainable building design through CAD and Revit drafting, energy modeling, design calculations, HVAC and plumbing layouts, construction administration, commissioning, site observations, specifications, cost estimates, and project coordination. The paid 10–12 week, on-site program offers hands-on experience with mechanical engineering and building performance projects. Candidates should be third-year undergraduates with mechanical coursework and an interest in sustainable building design.

Supports electrical engineering project teams in designing and documenting power distribution, lighting, and technology systems for buildings. Develops proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, EasyPower, electrical load calculations, system modeling, code research, and compliance analysis under experienced mentorship. Assists with load flow, short-circuit, and arc-flash studies while applying building codes and industry standards.
