Teams at Orion Steel

Machine, disassemble, assemble, inspect and repair parts for heavy-industry equipment using lathes, mills, grinders and drill presses. Read blueprints, perform precision measurements and critical alignments, handle materials, follow LOTO and safety procedures (OSHA10), assist maintenance, and perform heavy lifting. Obtain required certifications and demonstrate proficiency through testing.

Lead and supervise Electric Furnace and Casting teams to ensure safe, efficient steel production. Oversee melt shop operations (Furnace, LRF, VTD), deliver training, report daily progress, and drive safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Perform precision machining, disassembly/assembly and repair of equipment using lathes, mills, grinders, drills and shop equipment. Read blueprints, perform alignments, inspect and test parts, follow safety and LOTO procedures, maintain work area, assist maintenance, obtain OSHA/equipment certifications, and lift/handle heavy materials. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency via testing.
