Teams at Nooks (nooks.works)

Own the strategy, operations, compliance, and scaling of classified WAN environments across multiple accredited sites. Manage network health, ATO posture, NIST SP 800-53 and RMF compliance, vendors, contracts, projects, budgets, and government stakeholders. Lead distributed technical teams, resolve operational issues, and build the classified WAN organization through hiring and staff development. The role requires active Top Secret/SCI clearance, extensive classified-network experience, strong networking and cybersecurity expertise, and travel up to 35%.

Leads Nooks’ software engineering organization, technical vision, AI strategy, government contract delivery, internal platform, architecture, and technology investment. Builds and scales the engineering team, establishes outcome-based operating practices, oversees delivery economics and customer relationships, drives AI adoption and governance, and supports federal software pursuits. Partners with executive leadership, Growth, Operations, IT/Cyber, Product, and Finance while representing engineering to government customers.

Owns cybersecurity compliance for Nooks’ unclassified environment, including NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC Level 2 assessments, SSP and POA&M management, SPRS scoring, audit readiness, cloud and hybrid infrastructure security, CUI protection, vendor assurance, and technical remediation. The role secures Google Workspace and Microsoft environments, validates controls, gathers evidence, and communicates cybersecurity requirements to leadership, IT teams, and external assessors.
