The role also supports design reviews and proposals, manages project costs and schedules, and mentors and oversees other engineers.

Coordinates the full proposal lifecycle from solicitation review through submission. Design, develop, simulate, prototype, test, and qualify RF systems and advanced antenna solutions for spacecraft. Lead RF hardware ownership from concept through production and flight readiness, including component and materials selection, link-budget analysis, environmental qualification, troubleshooting, supplier coordination, and cross-functional integration. Support communications, telemetry, tracking, sensing, and payload applications while ensuring performance, manufacturability, reliability, and space-environment compliance.

Design and develop high-reliability space-flight electronics, including schematics, PCB layouts, embedded firmware, prototypes, testing, debugging, and documentation. Collaborate with purchasing and manufacturers on component sourcing and production. Develop automated Python test scripts and maintain embedded software using C/C++. Analyze hardware failures, perform corrective actions, and support radiation-hardened component selection for aerospace systems.

Develops and tests innovative products, systems, and components from concept through production readiness. Conducts research, experiments, modeling, and data analysis; creates technical documentation; troubleshoots designs; and collaborates cross-functionally on production transitions. The role also supports technology roadmaps, regulatory compliance, business development proposals, and grants. Work occurs across office, laboratory, and hands-on prototyping environments, with occasional travel for testing, field trials, or vendor collaboration.

Manage complex aerospace engineering programs from proposal through hardware delivery. Lead cross-functional teams, customers, suppliers, and subcontractors while controlling requirements, schedules, budgets, quality, risks, and deliverables. Resolve issues, develop recovery plans, communicate program status, support flight documentation, and pursue follow-on work. The role oversees development and spaceflight missions involving precision mechanical and deployable aerospace products.
