As a Software Development Engineer III on the Maps API team at Mapbox, you will design and develop mapping tools, ensure service reliability, mentor peers, and promote operational excellence in a fast-paced evolving environment.

Design, develop, and operate scalable, low-latency backend Guidance services for navigation. Solve complex guidance scenarios, build customizable solutions for OEMs and niche customers, and create tooling and AWS-based infrastructure to support mapping and navigation features.

Own and execute Mapbox's global tax compliance and strategy: manage income and indirect tax filings, annual tax provision, tax calendar, audits, transfer pricing support, apportionment, account reconciliations, tax footnotes, entity compliance and registrations, and maintain indirect tax software while advising sales/legal on tax implications.
