Lead and oversee the Utilization Review department, ensuring timely precertifications, recertifications, peer-to-peer reviews, and appeals. Supervise staff performance, report authorization status to the CEO, coordinate with clinical and business teams, interface with payers and managed care, educate staff on documentation and medical criteria, and participate in on-call and administrative duties.

Provide restorative nursing interventions to help patients reach maximum functional potential, report patient changes to supervising staff, assist with quality review and survey prep, participate in interdisciplinary activities and professional development, maintain clinical competency, and support administrative and clinical efficiency.

Verify and approve physician medication orders, manage the computerized pharmacy system, supervise pharmacy technicians, monitor medication management processes, order and store medications, and participate in quality improvement to ensure safe, effective medication use.
