Provides technical leadership for the development, testing, integration, sustainment, and operation of complex software, electronic, and mechanical systems. Oversees engineers, defines test objectives, prepares plans and reports, analyzes data, manages schedules and funding, supports design reviews and proposals, and coordinates with customers and engineering, logistics, finance, and program teams. Performs mission-system sustainment activities including sparing, obsolescence, technology refresh planning, engineering studies, and technical problem resolution.

Provides technical leadership for engineering development, testing, integration, installation, operation, maintenance, and sustainment of software, electronic, and mechanical systems. Supervises engineers, defines test objectives, develops test plans and reports, analyzes data, manages schedules and funding, supports design reviews and proposals, interfaces with customers, and advises management. The role also addresses system sparing, obsolescence, lifecycle sustainment, and technology refresh planning.

Performs systems engineering for special projects involving systems integration, technical planning, operations, maintenance, lifecycle analysis, risk management, requirements, and acceptance testing. Configures and operates complex SATCOM equipment in test-range environments, develops engineering processes and technical documentation, supports proposals and design reviews, conducts site investigations, and coordinates with engineering, logistics, finance, program management, and customers.
