The Conflicts Attorney manages new business intake and conflict-of-interest resolution for the firm. Responsibilities include conducting conflicts checks, reviewing reports, gathering due diligence, drafting engagement and waiver letters, resolving conflicts with attorneys, maintaining ethical walls, monitoring ethics rules and case law, and tracking conflicts arising from client mergers and acquisitions. The role requires a Juris Doctorate, U.S. bar admission, and at least five years of legal experience, preferably in a large law firm’s conflicts or professional responsibility practice.

Partner with attorneys to design, build, deploy, and maintain AI-enabled legal workflows (prompting, RAG, templates, evaluations). Provide training, change management, governance-aligned guardrails, monitor adoption and performance, and iterate on workflows with cross-functional teams.

Support attorneys by developing and tracking matter budgets, producing financial and RFP analyses, creating matter plans, coordinating data for client reviews, establishing legal project management best practices, and collaborating with IT to automate reporting and improve profitability tracking.
