Support transactional and operational nonprofit accounting: own accounts payable and expense processes, assist month-end and quarterly close, perform bank reconciliations, triage staff finance questions, and support annual audit and Form 990 preparation. Focus on accuracy, process improvement, and cross-functional communication.

Lead methodological, cross-portfolio research to improve GiveWell's grantmaking. Combine evidence review, cost-effectiveness modeling, field insights, expert consultation, and judgment to answer high-priority questions, pressure-test teams, develop research agendas, mentor researchers, and communicate findings internally and externally.

Own revenue reconciliation across payment platforms, prepare quarterly grants reconciliations, assist with complex close entries (investments, lease amortization, intercompany grants, accrued vacation), support audits and Form 990 preparation, drive process improvements, and mentor the Staff Accountant.
