Assists the Controller with bank accounting operations, internal controls, journal entries, reconciliations, accounts payable, payroll, investments, fixed assets, close processes, audits, regulatory reporting, tax support, and financial reporting. The role also supports software administration, financial systems implementation, and future supervision of accounting staff.

Manages a commercial credit portfolio, partnering with bankers to structure, underwrite, approve, and monitor commercial loans. Reviews financial statements, cash flow, collateral, covenants, and credit risks; prepares credit presentations and annual reviews; coordinates loan documentation and closings; monitors portfolio quality and exposure; identifies early warning signs; and works with clients to obtain financial information and manage loan modifications.

Protects the bank’s sensitive information by developing security policies, managing risk assessments, vulnerabilities, incidents, audits, regulatory compliance, security controls, awareness training, and business continuity programs. The officer coordinates FDIC examinations, presents security metrics to executives and the board, oversees third-party and technology risks, and leads corrective actions aligned with banking regulations and cybersecurity frameworks.
