Teams at Flagship Pioneering

Develop and integrate fixed-wing UAV systems spanning autopilot firmware, airframes, propulsion, electronics, C2 links, ground station software, and scientific payloads. Responsibilities include modifying ArduPilot source code, tuning flight systems, conducting flight tests, analyzing logs, designing PCBs, ensuring spectrum compliance, troubleshooting field deployments, and documenting engineering processes for a scalable, field-ready platform.

Lead BVLOS flight operations and testing for fixed-wing UAVs, including FAA waiver and international regulatory compliance, mission planning, piloting, real-time monitoring, flight-log analysis, and emergency procedures. Manage ground control station operations, RF and C2 compliance, weather coordination, field documentation, and post-flight analysis. Collaborate with engineering, science, and field teams to validate aircraft performance, sensor data, mission profiles, and operational reliability.

Lead the scientific direction and machine learning development for climate modeling. Manage model training, evaluation, and collaboration across teams to develop predictive systems based on hydrology and climate data.
