Leads Fastly’s Platform Security organization, defining multi-year technical strategy and roadmaps for foundational infrastructure, secrets, identity, PKI, and trust services. Manages engineering teams and principal-level contributors, drives reliability and security best practices across the organization, establishes metrics and accountability, and communicates strategy and risk to executives. Requires deep experience with distributed systems, infrastructure as code, Linux, cloud and on-premises environments, and security technologies. Coding is not expected, but strong technical expertise is essential.

Leads Fastly’s global public relations and communications strategy, including regional PR execution, media relations, reputation and crisis communications, customer and product storytelling, executive communications, internal communications, agency management, performance measurement, and development of a distributed global team.

Integrate Fastly’s edge delivery and compute platform into customer systems, design and build solutions using VCL, Go, Rust, or JavaScript, and provide configuration, optimization, troubleshooting, and performance guidance. Develop proof-of-concepts with Sales Engineers, create and deliver training, mentor team members, and serve as a subject matter expert. The role requires expertise in CDN, WAF, HTTP, networking protocols, web application implementation, customer-facing consulting, and project delivery.
