Leads Fastly’s Platform Security organization, defining multi-year technical strategy and roadmaps for foundational infrastructure, secrets, identity, PKI, and trust services. Serve as the internal Workday functional SME, leading HR technology projects, configuration, optimization, testing, reporting, data integrations, support, release readiness, and compliance activities. Owns Linux kernel engineering for Fastly’s global edge network, including kernel development, networking, XDP/eBPF, hardware enablement, performance, debugging, upstreaming, and fleet-scale production operations. The role leads technical projects, manages kernel releases and staged rollouts, resolves production incidents, improves observability and reliability, collaborates across teams, and mentors engineers while participating in on-call rotation.

Designs and implements scalable trust and identity infrastructure, including secrets management, PKI, authentication, and access control services. The role defines architecture, leads technically complex initiatives, improves engineering standards and reliability, and partners across Product, Security, Compliance, and Engineering. It requires strong systems engineering experience with Linux, networking, distributed systems, modern programming languages, and infrastructure tooling. Occasional on-call nights and weekends may be required.

Provides Tier I technical support for Fastly’s edge cloud platform. Responsibilities include troubleshooting VCL, caching, HTTP, TLS, DNS, APIs, control panel configurations, and Compute applications; managing and escalating customer issues; monitoring network events; guiding customers through technical solutions; documenting findings; and participating in occasional on-call coverage. The role requires strong networking knowledge, written communication, scripting ability, customer support experience, and familiarity with diagnostic tools.

Build and scale Fastly’s edge Compute hosting infrastructure. Develop high-performance Rust platform code addressing back pressure, resource limits, service interactions, concurrency, and asynchronous execution. Analyze performance and stability issues, maintain highly available production systems, contribute to code reviews and open source, and lead technical projects across teams. The role also involves designing customer-facing APIs, communicating with stakeholders, and participating in on-call rotations.

The Operations Analyst will manage and improve cross-organizational Product and Engineering processes, including product lifecycle, engineering operations, software capitalization, FinOps, and cloud spend management. The role partners with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to improve communication, documentation, visibility, measurement, and execution. Responsibilities include operationalizing processes, championing tooling improvements, training stakeholders, and driving strategic initiatives and business outcomes across a hybrid organization.

Engineers participate in core US business hours and an on-call rotation, with occasional travel as needed.

Leads end-to-end execution of large-scale global network infrastructure programs, including site builds, augments, and decommissioning. Coordinates Network Operations, Supply Chain, data center, Finance, Legal, and engineering teams; manages deployment plans, reporting, risks, vendors, capacity planning, and hardware lifecycles. The role also drives process standardization, automation, incident and post-mortem improvements, and translates technical requirements into actionable roadmaps.

Own projects from technical proposals through production rollout, collaborate with product, frontend, platform, and security teams, and ensure stability, scalability, observability, and performance. Mentor engineers, contribute architectural guidance, use AI coding agents, and participate in on-call support.

The Senior Customer Solutions Engineer provides technical support and builds relationships with key clients, ensuring successful implementation of Fastly's products and managing escalations. They leverage technical expertise to drive customer initiatives and mentor other engineers.

Design and operate secure, scalable CIAM services for authentication, authorization, identity lifecycle, and profile management. Lead complex technical initiatives, guide architecture across teams, improve reliability and security, and establish standards-based identity practices. Partner with engineering, product, and security teams, mentor engineers, document technical decisions, and participate in on-call support.

Lead go-to-market strategy, messaging, and positioning for Fastly's security portfolio (WAF, DDoS, Bot Management, TLS). Drive product launches, sales enablement, competitive differentiation, compliance messaging, cross-sell narratives, content and campaigns, and public product evangelism in partnership with Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing.

Provision and deploy network devices, servers, and infrastructure for global POPs using automation (Ansible, Chef, Git). Troubleshoot provisioning issues, collaborate with hardware and operations teams, improve standards and tooling, and support post-deployment validation and handoff to Network Operations.
