Elk Creek Fire Protection District

Elk Creek Fire Protection District is a combination career and volunteer fire department serving Conifer and Pine Junction, Colorado, about 30 miles southwest of Denver. Formed in 1948 by local residents after a devastating restaurant fire, it provides fire suppression, emergency medical services, and wildfire mitigation across roughly 98 square miles in western Jefferson and eastern Park Counties, serving an estimated 17,000 residents. Its mission is to promote fire safety and prevention, provide fire suppression and emergency medical services, and make the Elk Creek community a safe place to live, work and play.
