The Standards Editor will uphold The Wall Street Journal’s reporting, style, fairness, and ethics standards. Responsibilities include pre-publication review of high-impact journalism, advising reporters and editors with media attorneys, resolving post-publication issues, adjudicating disputes, and protecting readers’ interests. The role requires extensive journalism experience, high-level editing and management expertise, strong news judgment, fairness, and thorough knowledge of the Journal’s standards and processes.

Produce editorially strong visual journalism, including data-driven interactives, maps, charts, and explanatory graphics. Interns collaborate across teams, work independently under deadline pressure, learn newsroom systems, and apply high journalistic standards. The 10-week summer internship includes mentorship and training in information graphics. Applicants must submit graphics reporting examples, a cover letter, and a resume.

Ten-week Features and WSJ. Magazine internship involving reporting and writing digital articles, researching stories and photography, participating in editorial meetings, fact-checking, and assisting with social media. Interns collaborate across digital, print, magazine, photography, design, and research teams while working under deadline pressure. Candidates must be college juniors or eligible graduate students, have prior reporting or exceptional published work, strong writing skills, feature and lifestyle interests, and high journalistic standards.
