Designs mechanical and electro-mechanical products using 3D modeling, drawings, prototypes, testing, and validation. Manages engineering projects, schedules, cost estimates, design releases, failure analysis, and corrective actions. Supports manufacturing, suppliers, testing facilities, and customer or internal design reviews. Develops test plans and fixtures, evaluates tolerances and materials, and designs for thermal, vibration, shock, harsh environments, and manufacturability while maintaining quality and documentation standards.

Leads mechanical product development, conceptual and detailed design, engineering analysis, prototyping, design reviews, and new product introduction. Collaborates with industrial designers, customers, manufacturing, sales, and engineering teams to resolve technical issues and ensure products meet performance, quality, regulatory, and manufacturability requirements. Performs FEA on plastic and metal designs and supports APQP, DFMEA, PFMEA, testing, documentation, and product release.

Leads engineering and product development projects from planning through launch, coordinating cross-functional teams, milestones, phase gates, design reviews, risks, conflicts, schedules, and deliverables. Provides executive status reporting, improves project processes, manages customer and internal communications, and helps control fiscal impacts. Partners daily with engineering, materials, production, logistics, quality assurance, and sales teams.
