Manages hospital and physician coding auditors, overseeing audit quality, productivity, staffing, training, client deliverables, compliance, and corrective actions. Performs and reviews audits across inpatient, outpatient, emergency, professional, therapy, and ancillary services using ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT, HCPCS, and applicable billing guidelines. Leads client interactions, prepares reports, communicates coding findings, supports special projects, and ensures privacy, security, ethical coding, and organizational policy compliance.

The role requires expertise in inpatient and professional coding, billing guidelines, Medicare and commercial payer requirements, healthcare compliance, and coding quality standards.

Provides professional fee, facility, and HCC coding across multiple specialties using CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10-CM, and ICD-10-PCS. Responsibilities include evaluating E/M levels, identifying critical care and surgical cases, applying coding guidelines, supporting reimbursement accuracy, maintaining productivity and quality standards, communicating with clients, and protecting confidential health information. The role requires AAPC or AHIMA certification, at least two years of experience, proficiency with EMR and billing systems, and Microsoft Excel and Outlook skills.
