Supports website and web application development, AI/ML integration, API and database work, cloud technologies, prototypes, testing, troubleshooting, and brand-improvement initiatives. Collaborates with corporate support teams to identify automation and technology opportunities. The internship provides hands-on experience with web development, emerging AI technologies, and internal tools in a small government contracting environment.

Serve as the senior software development SME while performing full-stack Java web development and O&M activities. Guide developer teams, prioritize work, coordinate technical meetings, resolve issues, optimize processes, analyze requirements, estimate effort, review code, conduct testing, troubleshoot environments, create technical documentation, and implement software updates. The role requires extensive J2EE experience, SPA development, DevOps and CI/CD expertise, and active Public Trust/MBI clearance supporting an IRS Criminal Investigation system.

Modernize legacy enterprise applications for the IRS by migrating to cloud-native architectures: replatforming Java apps, implementing Spring Boot microservices, containerizing on OpenShift/Kubernetes, enabling CI/CD and enterprise integration, and designing technical solutions to support Common API Services.
