Teams at Atom Computing

Design and build scientific hardware and hardware/software control interfaces for scalable neutral-atom quantum computers. Apply atomic physics, quantum control, cold-atom trapping, and quantum characterization techniques; generate intellectual property; communicate findings through publications and presentations; and collaborate with experimental physicists, hardware engineers, and software engineers.

Integrate and test precision optical, laser, mechanical, and electronic subsystems for neutral-atom quantum computers. Perform free-space alignment, fiber coupling, polarization and throughput measurements, interface checkout, fault isolation, safety checks, and configuration documentation. Collaborate with quantum engineers, physicists, controls specialists, and manufacturing engineers to establish system readiness, support first-of-a-kind integrations, preserve approved configurations, and improve repeat-build procedures.

Leads operation and upgrades of neutral atom quantum computing hardware and a portfolio of advanced research programs. Defines requirements, priorities, execution plans, metrics, communications, and risk-management strategies across scientific, engineering, and business teams. Advises the technology roadmap, balances technical resources, supports grant applications, and collaborates with external partners to deliver future quantum computing capabilities.
