Performs routine and specialized pediatric ultrasound exams under radiologist direction, learns to recognize urgent findings, troubleshoots equipment, explains procedures to patients/families, maintains work area, and completes other assigned duties.

Provide autonomous, family-centered critical care for pediatric cardiovascular ICU patients on night shift. Assess, plan, prioritize, and deliver safe nursing care, respond to condition changes, document care, educate families, collaborate with interdisciplinary team, participate in quality improvement, mentor staff, and engage in unit initiatives.

Provides competent, autonomous pediatric nursing care for vascular access patients on the night shift. Performs assessments, develops and implements plans of care, responds to changes in condition, documents and communicates with the interdisciplinary team, educates patients/families, advances evidence-based practice, mentors colleagues, and participates in quality improvement and hospital initiatives.
