Provides government systems engineering oversight for complex defense and aerospace programs. Reviews contractor engineering plans, requirements, architectures, verification and validation activities, test planning, deficiency reporting, integration risks, configuration management, and technical baselines. Supports acquisition milestones, technical reviews, trade studies, interface management, and MOSA implementation across system-of-systems portfolios. Requires substantial DoD and MDAP experience, U.S. citizenship, and Secret clearance eligibility.

Develop and maintain agile simulation scenarios, analytical tools, and scientific applications supporting aerospace defense warning and assessment systems. Analyze requirements, write and test code, develop modular GUI-based tools, document verification and validation activities, support installations, perform statistical analysis, and present results. The role collaborates with government leads, vendors, test personnel, and engineers while applying software development lifecycle, DevSecOps, system engineering, and automated testing practices.

Supports human-rating certification, system safety, reliability, and mission operations for ULA’s Centaur V upper stage on NASA’s Artemis program. Evaluates designs against human-spaceflight standards, develops hazard reports, coordinates safety approvals, maintains FMECA and PRA inputs, and supports hardware-in-the-loop simulations, integrated simulator activities, data post-processing, and crew and mission-controller training.

Provides independent government oversight and technical assessment of contractor-led software modernization, architecture, algorithms, testing, documentation, Agile and DevSecOps practices. Reviews modernization strategies, software requirements, designs, interfaces, verification, validation, configuration management, and baseline control. Collaborates with hardware, systems, cybersecurity, and program management teams throughout acquisition milestones and technical reviews. Supports software risk assessment, testing readiness, and Modular Open System Architecture activities at Peterson Space Force Base.

Develop and manage enterprise architecture frameworks supporting IT strategy and mission goals. Responsibilities include creating reference models, assessing current and target architectures, recommending transition plans and technology policies, guiding integration and governance, documenting systems with modeling techniques, supporting Agile execution and service-oriented architectures, and advising stakeholders. The role supports DoD space and missile-warning programs at Peterson SFB and requires an active Secret clearance, U.S. citizenship, and approximately 10% CONUS/OCONUS travel.

Conduct security control, vulnerability, software assurance, threat, capability maturity, and risk assessments for complex ballistic missile defense systems. Perform research, data gathering, gap analysis, critical analysis, and develop cybersecurity implementation plans. Support vulnerability assessments, control development, security plan documentation, penetration testing, and Risk Management Framework activities while applying cybersecurity standards and practices.

Provides system safety engineering for ULA’s Centaur V upper stage on NASA Artemis crewed missions. Responsibilities include hazard identification, risk assessment, mitigation development, safety requirements compliance, fault-tolerance evaluation, human-rating certification support, and preparation for NASA safety reviews. The role develops and maintains hazard reports and safety analyses, coordinates with NASA safety organizations, presents safety rationale, and closes review findings.
