Lead Arch Insurance North America’s Surety Underwriting Group by setting strategy, managing underwriting performance, driving profitable growth, developing talent, ensuring regulatory compliance, and representing the organization with customers, agents, brokers, and other stakeholders. Evaluate renewals, new business, actuarial trends, reinsurance, market opportunities, and product applications while optimizing resources across the business unit.

Underwrite and manage a portfolio of Umbrella and Excess Liability accounts to drive profitability and growth. Assess risks, set pricing and terms, negotiate with brokers, ensure accurate policy documentation and file maintenance, manage renewals and complex referrals, and build broker/client relationships. Collaborate across regional teams and related product lines.

Lead and coach an 18-month cohort of early-career commercial underwriters, deliver instructor-led training and assessments, identify curriculum gaps, refine content and delivery (including AI-enabled tools), collaborate with hiring supervisors, monitor competency milestones and readiness for authority, and drive continuous improvement of the Academy to accelerate underwriting capability and career progression.
