Own the technical operation and governance of Allegion’s shared design system, including GitHub workflows, coded component releases, Figma synchronization, accessibility, defect resolution, documentation, and AI-assisted development workflows. Lead one to three direct reports, coordinate with product and engineering teams, define system health metrics, and drive adoption and reusable component architecture across web and mobile products.

Manage Oracle cycle count procedures, schedules, ABC classification, inventory adjustments, and physical, WIP, and controlled-stores counts. Lead reliability architecture and SRE standards across multiple products and services. Govern SLO, SLI, error-budget, capacity-planning, observability, and incident-management frameworks; lead high-impact incident response and blameless postmortems; automate toil reduction; evaluate reliability tooling; mentor SREs; and influence cross-functional engineering practices without direct management authority.

Supports UX design and research for software products by creating user flows, wireframes, prototypes, documentation, and UI components. Assists with interviews, usability testing, heuristic evaluations, card sorting, research analysis, and design handoffs. Collaborates with product managers, developers, designers, researchers, and customer teams in an Agile environment while gaining experience with modern design tools, AI tooling, and coding agents.

Leads cross-functional, multi-location new product development projects from requirements through production. Establishes project strategy, schedules, budgets, resources, and execution plans while tracking risks, issues, costs, and timelines. Coordinates Product Management, Engineering, Design, Test, Finance, and Operations teams; resolves team issues, escalates risks, manages interdependencies, and presents status updates to senior management. The role supports mechanical and electronic product development and requires up to 20% travel.

Supports software quality assurance for IoT-enabled security products by translating requirements into test plans, creating automated test scripts, contributing to testing frameworks, executing CI pipeline tests, and collaborating with product and software development teams. The intern may work on mobile, API, microservices, or web application testing while gaining exposure to cloud infrastructure and DevOps tools.

Supports manufacturing process improvements, automation and controls upgrades, capital projects, and new product introductions across North American facilities. Applies Lean and Six Sigma methods to improve safety, quality, and throughput; supports PCBA, fabrication, machining, and assembly processes; conducts DFM reviews; and collaborates with cross-functional teams. Develop and test C#/.NET software for digital manufacturing and Manufacturing Execution Systems. Build Power BI reports and data models, write SQL queries, support shop-floor digital screens, and collaborate with manufacturing stakeholders on requirements and testing. Participate in Scrum ceremonies, code reviews, and quality practices while helping modernize plant operations and enterprise data flows.

Supports product marketing commercialization, content updates, product launches, competitive analysis, market research, campaigns, website content, case studies, and event planning for Allegion’s Mobile Credentials and Partner Solutions portfolio. Collaborates with product, marketing, sales, channel, field, and external teams while assisting with the Allegion Developer Conference and platform migration communications.

Supports product assurance and testing activities for prototype products. Participates in new product development discussions, implements solutions on real projects, validates prototypes, and follows software engineering and security industry best practices while collaborating with a test lab team.

Supports supply chain planning through materials-process data analysis, demand and supply scenario development, inventory optimization, capacity planning, ERP parameter validation, and scheduling. The intern collaborates with operations leaders, planners, schedulers, buyers, and customer experience teams. Responsibilities also include process improvement, updating training and procedures, and analyzing production and purchasing data using Excel, ERP systems, and potentially Power BI.

Mechanical Engineering Intern supporting product design, development, testing, and technical analysis for security and access-control products. Responsibilities include creating 3D models, evaluating design concepts, applying FMEA, GD&T, tolerance analysis, root cause analysis, and DFM/DFA principles, and collaborating with manufacturing and engineering teams. The intern will use Creo and Microsoft Project, participate in design reviews and team meetings, and gain exposure to electronic locking systems and product development.

Supports the Global Software Solutions team by learning to deploy, secure, monitor, and troubleshoot cloud applications and infrastructure.
