Provide continuous observation of inpatients to ensure safety and comfort, communicate observations and needs to the registered nurse, maintain patient call light access, follow safety and PPE protocols, and assist with mobility and basic physical tasks as directed.

Provide administrative support for utilization management by managing inbound communications, verifying insurance, documenting authorizations/denials in the EHR, tracking PSAO co-signatures, following up with payers and physicians, maintaining records/spreadsheets, and assisting Utilization Review Nurses and Managers. Deliver courteous customer service and ensure HIPAA compliance.

Provide inpatient and outpatient lactation assessment, diagnosis, education and individualized support. Lead breastfeeding programs, teach classes, consult with providers, manage phone/support services, maintain documentation, and support staff training to promote breastfeeding outcomes.
